On behalf of the organizing committee, it is our pleasure to invite you to the Girona Seminar, and the corresponding Young Researchers Symposium, that will take place in the city of Girona from 13th to 16th April 2026 at the “La Mercè” Auditorium (Girona). The Institute of Computational Chemistry and Catalysis (IQCC) has been organizing this biennial conference since 1993. Early editions were focused on theoretical chemistry, but this changed in 2006 when a different research topic related to the IQCC interests was chosen for each seminar. In the last two editions of the Girona Seminar (2022 and 2024) the subthemes were “Biocatalysis” and “Supramolecular Chemistry”. For the next edition in 2026, the topic will be “Synthesis and functionalization of cyclic compounds: experimental and theoretical perspectives”.
To highlight the work of early-career scientists, a one-day Young Researchers Symposium will take place prior to the main meeting. Organized by and for early-career students, this symposium provides a platform to showcase their research. We warmly encourage all participants of the Girona Seminar to attend this event as well.
