In September 2023, the University of Parma,  with the support of Schrodinger and Acellera, is organizing the second edition of the “Advanced School in Drug Research and Development” entitled “Enzyme Inhibition at the boundary between Chemical Biology and Drug Discovery”.

This edition will cover key aspects of the drug discovery process, with a focus on the role of computational and biophysical methods in drug discovery programs in academic and industrial setting. Particular emphasis will be given to the impact of multiscale simulations (including QM/MM hybrid approaches and enhanced sampling methods) and machine learning methods to the discovery and characterization of enzyme inhibitors.

The Advanced School is specifically addressed to young scientists at the beginning of their careers with a background in drug sciences and biotechnology, including PhD students and researchers from academic and industrial environment.

Thanks to the support of Regione Emilia Romagna, the fee of the school is very low (180 euros) as it includes 5 nights in a historical Hotel (dating back to the late 1700s) in the city centre of Parma (Home – Hotel Button Parma).

25 positions are available. The registration procedure for the selection of the participants will start from 13th February 2023 and will end on 20th April 2023 at 12 am (CET). For more info:  https://www.pharmasummerschool.unipr.it/  or e-mail to pharmasummerschool@unipr.it
